I made the first pages in october 1997. I made them for 2 reasons:

1. I wanted to learn about the web-technologies. So the pages were for testing purposes.
   
   
2. To make the internet what it is, just a small part of its users must give it content. Had I said 1 it was easy to say 2, so I did that.
   
   

In the beginning the pages were hosted on the free web servers at Geocities. Since 2002 I have had my own domain name, and the pages have been hosted at professional hosting companies. Some of the advantages are that you are free from commercials, that the pages validate, and that my scripts do not interfere with commercial-scripts.

In 1997 or 1998 my pages was entered on "Jubii anbefaler" by Julie, thanks Julie :-)

The pages was in may 2002 selected as "Cool Site" by Open Directory in the category "World/Dansk/Samfund/Folk/Personlige_hjemmesider".

The name "h33" is "hacker speak" for my surname "Hee". Hacker speak is a sort of pig latin of internet. Letters are replaced by numbers, and lower case and upper case are mixed. Hacker speak was chic some time in the mid 1990es.

I have used hacker speak in my domain name because the real "hee.dk" is engaged. It belongs to the parish community of Hee.

The pages follow these philosophies and standards:

The pages are made with simple text editors (vi, notepad-clones...) and perl scripts.

All the browser scripting is done with ECMAScript (probably better known as JavaScript).

3-D-graphics is made with POV-Ray.

I have previously let "Bobby" validate my pages for accessibility. But unfortunately "Bobby" cannot understand xhtml, so my pages are not "Bobby Approved" at the moment. I hope that will change in the future.

I find the number of visitors by analysis of the web server logfile. The number for my page at Geocities was the number of hits on the frontpage (index.html). The logfiles showed that the number of visitors was about 4 times larger than this number of hits. So to better compare apples and oranges, the hit numbers in the graph are multiplied by 4.
